Lisa sutter

Lisa has been a Board Member of Metrocrest Hospital Authority (MHA) since 2017. MHAs Mission Statement is to be a catalyst for access to quality health care through partnerships that will improve the health of our communities. She currently serves on the Executive Committee.

Lisa also serves as a Board of Manager at Parkland Hospital and has been there since 2020.  She served during covid and a transformation of bringing additional care into the community and the use of telemedicine. Her term will expire in 2026. She has chaired the Talent and Development Executive Compensation Committee, the Governance, Compliance and Ethics Committee and on the Budget Finance Committee.

Since 2019, Lisa Sutter has worked for McKesson Corporation as a Senior Stock Plan Administrator, managing their National and International stock plans. Her duties include financial reporting, SEC reporting, Assistant Corporate Secretary duties, along with all aspects of Administration and auditing.

Prior positions have been with Stock and Option Solutions, Inc. as a Consultant for public and private companies. There, she managed their corporate stock plans and related financial reporting, assisted in SEC reporting and worked on several mergers and an IPO. Her clients have included Wholefoods, Maxim Integrated, Integrated Device Technology, Avaya, Terraform Power and Terraform Global. Previous public companies she has worked for in the same capacity include Fluor Corporation, U.S. Concrete, Inc., MetroPCS and Allegiance Telecom, Inc. 

Lisa and her husband, John, have been married for 47 years and have two daughters, ages 46 and 48, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Background and Education 

Lisa Sutter has lived in Carrollton since 1978 and is a Native Texan. She grew up in Famers Branch and North Dallas, attending Carrollton–Farmers Branch ISD and Dallas ISD schools. Lisa graduated from W. T. White High School in 1976 and attended Brookhaven and El Centro Community Colleges. 

 

Public Service 

Lisa was initially elected to the Carrollton City Council in 2009 and was re-elected in 2012. She served as both Deputy Mayor Pro-Tem (2010-2011) and Mayor Pro-Tem (2011-2012). Lisa chaired the Audit/Finance Committee, the Judicial Committee and served on the Transit Orient Development Committee (TOD), member of the Trinity River Central Regional Wastewater System Advisory Committee, member of the Environmental Distinction Awards Committee and liaison to the Capital Improvements Project Advisory Committee. 

Prior to her election to the Carrollton City Council, Lisa chaired the Capital Improvements Project Advisory Commission from 2005 to 2009 and was Treasurer of the 2007 Bond Election Citizens’ Committee. 

 

In addition to her city council, Lisa has served as an officer of the A.W. Perry Homestead Museum Society. Lisa has been a member of the Navy League of the United States – Dallas Council since 1997 and she served as an Executive Board Member of the Carrollton–Farmers Branch Soccer Association for more than 20 years.  

 

Honors
